Would it be hard to adjust moving from the USA to Australia?
I am 21 a guy i am a big traveling person who loves to travel i went to Greece, Belize, Guatemala, Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic, and i am good at researching traveling stuff too but i was wondering would it be hard to adjust moving to either sydney or perth Australia it seems like a cool experience moving there even though it does get hot there but there is air conditioning so i was wondering would it be hard to adjust in moving i mean with the laws difference and the visa's and the weather and other things?
Flingebunt - Please stop telling Americans that they can't get Work and Holiday visas because if they're aged between 18 and 30 and have graduated from High School, they can and an unlimited number is available each year.

A W&H visa will allow you to come for 12 months and you can work to fund your travels. The only work restriction is that you can only work for each employer for up to 6 months. A W&H visa costs AUD$230 and is generally granted within a few hours.
You sound like a flexible and well travelled person and if that's so, you won't have the slightest trouble adjusting to life in Australia. Aussies are generally very easy going and friendly and our culture is very similar to American culture. We like a party and we like to have a good time, but we work hard too. You'll probably find us a bit behind the times in some things, particularly in the smaller cities like Perth and in some cases, a bit slower than you're accustomed to, but most Americans actually like that about us. Our laws are very similar overall though we have strict gun control (most people have never even seen a gun, much less owned one) and religion here is a private thing for each individual and doesn't influence our politics or our everyday life.
Our country is roughly the same size as the continental US and we have wide variations in our climate as does the USA, but we're closer to the Equator, so it's generally a fair bit warmer here and doesn't snow in any of our cities. Unlike the US, nearly everyone lives within 100km or so from the coast, so a beach is never very far away and there are swimming pools everywhere in our warmer cities. All office and government buildings and most cars are air conditioned and most homes have at least one or two air conditioned rooms in the warmer areas. I think you'll love the weather in Perth and Sydney, but try to spend winter in Brisbane and you'll never want to leave.
