Has anyone Had any PERSONAL experience with getting married in the Bahamas at an all inclusive Resort?

We are thinking about getting married at an all inclusive resort in the bahamas. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or personal experience with getting married in the bahamas?

I was married in the Bahamas at the Sandals Royal Bahamian resort in 2002.

We were initially concerned that it may end up being a 'conveyer belt' wedding, as Sandals seems to perform a lot of them, but in th end it worked out very smoothly.

The coordinators there are well practised, professional, and, well, used to the nerves, stress and issues that brides and grooms have, so are well prepared to cope with anything.

We met with them a week or so before the wedding, and, on an off chance, enquired about the possibility of using their private island (about 3/4 mile off shore) for our day. We were most surprised when they said yes! For very little extra money, we had our guests ferried to their own private island for the afternoon/night - it was perfect! Not only did we marry in paradise, but on our own personal little island, with a beatiful beach (where we had the ceremony) our own little restaurant for our guests, and (because we like to party!) we didn't have to worry about the noise levels as we danced the night away!

If you're bringing a few guests, definitely check it out as an option - it makes for fantastic memories!

For the reception, we chose an open bar (did I mention we like to party!) which turned out to be very reasonable in the end (alcohol is cheap in the Bahamas!). We had a choice of several menus for the meal, and they had no problem with us mixing and matching to create ou perfect meal, which was again unexpected, but goes to show they are very flexible in how they work with you to get things right.

We used a local Swiss Pastry shop for our cake, and a local florist for the flowers - both companies worked with Sandals and everything was in place when we arrived - no hiccups there either.

All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I can recommend them. It was as stress free as I could imagine a wedding could be, and they were friendly, professional and always around when we needed to have our moments of panic

I say: Go For It!!

Good luck with your planning!

~ How much $ is an all-inclusive, 1 week stay for 5 people at the Bahamas including airfare?

I would like to bring my family to the Bahamas as that's what my mom's one wish is to do. I would like to know how much I need to raise (approx. estimation) for a reasonable trip to the Bahamas for 5 people including airfare would be.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out!

I took a 4day cruise there, recently, and of course the cruise itself is all inclusive. Booked Royal Carribean, for about 265 per person.

Once we ported at Nassau Bahamas, we had booked a day at one of the resorts. The nightly fee was 75$, and it included all alcohol, all food inside outside poolside, kyaking, sailing. Jet skis were extra money though.

The name of the resort was Breezes, and it was excellent. Very old school caribbean style.
Ask the rasta man on the beach, to teach you to sail.. you won't be disappointed. ;)
