Going to the Bahamas, staying at the Atlantis!?



My husband and I are leaving next week for a weeks stay at the Atlantis in the Bahamas, I'm just curious how much and how long the taxi ride will be. Also I'm concerned about safety. Is there a package you can buy for drinks so we dont have to constantly pull out money? I know lots of questions lol thanks in advance!

Safety shouldn't be more of an issue than any other major city. Always be aware of your surroundings. Even at Atlantis.

Taxi should take about 30 minutes depending on traffic and cost $34 for 2 ppl/ $1 for toll and $1 for ea. add'l bag. Plus tip, of course.

Drink packages are NOT available at Atlantis.. There's a liquor store across the street.. Best to buy your own liguor and soda.... you could go broke buying drinks at this overpriced montrocity.

i have too make a brochure in social studies and i am doing the bahamas i was told to pick and island a city for it soo i was thinking to do the blue lagoon because of the dolphin encountour but is blue lagoon just a tiny island with no hotel and if it does have a hotel is it nice their(do get the whole island expierience with the beach and what not)

also is it just easier to go to nassua or whatever or another close island and take that ferry package ther

also where is a nice island not too busy like atlantis with the island expierence close too blue lagoon in the bhamas

Blue Lagoon AKA Salt Cay is a privately owned island with no hotels or accomodations for tourists. It's has a family oriented beach and lagoon with a bar and grill as well as the famous dolphins, and new tenants, the california sea lions (and no, you cannot go topless.. it's against the law in the bahamas.. and I know the owners of the island and they would never allow it). www.dolphinencounters.com

There are 700 islands and 2000 cays in the bahamas. Try another.
Harbour Island is a small island just to the North east of Nassau.. it's quaint and lovely. Check it out.
