Bahamas Airports

i am romanian with a bahamas visa, i do not have a US visa but my ticket goes through the US.?

Do i need a US visa just to sit in the airport as i am only in the transit secured lounge? waiting for the connection to Nassau. To take a direct ticket from London to the Bahamas is twice as expensive and i cant afford to do that. Any help would be great..

1. I have checked through several airfare scanners kayak/scyscanner and the best offer always was the direct flight from Heathrow to Nassau.

2. Romanian citizens do not need a visa to visit the Bahamas for a 3 months stay.

You will need to purchase a "transfer" from the cruise company. They will have people with signs standing around with clipboards at the baggage claim area. Your name will be on the clipboard and they will help get you and your luggage in a bus that takes passengers directly to the ship. Transfers are not free and not included in the price of the cruise, but they are quite reasonable and almost always significantly cheaper than taxicabs. Oh -- and have about $2 per person to tip the driver when you arrive at the dock, and $1 to $2 per bag for the baggage handlers at the dock, too.
