Moving to Nassau Bahamas?
I just came back from Nassau about a month ago. I was so taken back by how life is there. Everything was so nice. I stayed at the Breezes hotel and loved every mintue of it. I'm actually thinking about moving there in a couple of years. The shopping dowtown was nice, the people were nice, It's just not like America. I have a question though. Do any american live in there, if so what were the things that you had to get used to? I am an African American women who fell in love with the culture there. I was wondering if Bahamains would greet me into their country. I read some where that Bahamains do not like it when Americans move to their country. Would I have to have a degree in order to have a good job that I would be able to pay for my house and my car? Please let me know.
I've heard that about Bahamians not liking Americans moving there, because the jobs are scarce there ,you could probably check some American corporations that are down there for job opening with a college you would be more desirable....

What is the best thing to leave for the maids? Money, Clothes, school supplies, tooth brushes ect? Staying at the SuperClubs Breezes Bahamas. Thanks
The bahamas is not a poor country. Most have a lifestyle similar to those in the states. They have malls and stores just like back at home. Many even travel to florida to do their shopping.
Generally speaking, you should leave $ for maids, bartenders, service staff etc.
I think Breezes doesn't allow tipping.. so if you want to leave something.. do it the last day - (as they won't take the $ during your stay).
