Are prices of houses in Bahamas now cheap? with regards to the credit crunch? Is it a safe place to live for a white european ? Which are the areas to head for?

Real estate is extremely expensive in Nassau. The island is 21 X 7 and has over 250,000 people living on it.

As far as safety goes you have to use the same common sense you would in any large city. There are areas that no one wants to get lost in. When you get "over the hill" you get into some really rough neighborhoods.
