I am going to the Bahamas for a weekend, Is it cheaper to go on a cruise or fly and stay at a hotel?

Has anyone been to Atlantis in the Bahamas?

I was looking at the website (http://www.atlantis.com/default.aspx) and it looks AMAZING! I'm trying to figure out cheap hotels, car rentals, places to eat, etc. so I can actually afford to go. Any reviews from people who HAVE gone would be very helpful! Need all the 411! Thank you!
I have also learned that Cabbage Beach is a nice, secluded beach and that the off season in The Bahamas are roughly from mid-April to mid-December (although this varies from hotel to hotel).
Are there months I shouldn't go as to avoid very bad weather (like a hurricane or something)?

Pretty outrageously expensive. I also endorse the idea of cruising to Nassau and getting a day pass to Atlantis. I think you'll get a lot more for your money that way.
