Bahamas Freeport
Has anyone ever went on the discovery Cruise To Freeport Bahamas?
It leaves out of Ft. Lauderdale. If you have taken this cruise, How was the cruise? Did you enjoy it? We are booking this cruise through ASI travel. Has anyone used this particular travel agent?

This is not a REAL cruise...it takes a day to get there...you gamble and drink is about it and the ship is small....the waves can be felt real well....no shows...no karaoke...no piano bars...no nice set down places to eat...no real service....
the bigger the ship the less likely of feeling the waves...
If you take this 'cruise" it will ruin you from taking a real cruise...

Is it expensive to live in Freeport Bahamas?
Hi! I want to move to Bahamas, to work in a hotel that will provide me housing, so rent is not a problem. But want to know how expensive is transportation on the island, food, clothing, entertainment, babysitting service, groceries, etc.

its a bit more expensive than the US. But without housing expense your pretty well off. Groceries for a single person can run you into $40.00 to $120.00 a week depending on what you like (most Bahamians do a major shopping in the US and pick up the extras at home. Gasoline is presenting running between $4.50 to $5.00 per gallon. But the traffic in freeort is not so bad and everything within Freeport City is like 15 minutes away. Clothing is a little more expensive than the US but not very much. A lot of Grand Bahamians also shop for clothing in the US, I usually do it for the variety not really the prices. Child care and health care is way cheaper than the US, and entertainment is also cheaper than the US. Hope this helped!
