Bahamas Snorkeling
What is the best island for water activities and nightlife? We are looking at Cozumel Cayman Bahamas Jamaica?
What is the best island for water activities and nightlife? We are going as a group and want to make sure there are plenty of things to do like wave runners, atvs, snorkeling, parasailing, casinos, clubs etc. Most of us are in are upper 20's. Seclusion and relaxation are not big on our list.
Out of all of them I recommend:
Jamaica especially for Nightlife and Water Sports (kinda)

Note:
Negril, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay have a lot of clubs and the parties which are awesome also you can go to any Exculsive Hotel for Water Sports such as Jet Skiing, Scuba Diving, Wave Runners,Parasailing.
Go to these Cities show what they are the best for:
Montego Bay- Water Sports, Nightlife(especially clubs and casinos)
Negril-Watersports(go to Cool Runnings Water Park especially),Nightlife(especially parties, carnivals)
Ocho Rios-Nightlife(clubs),Shopping
I recommend Negril out of all

water depth when snorkeling in nassua bahamas?
I know this is a probably a stupid question, but how deep is the water approximately when you go snorkeling? Can you touch the bottom? I am not a strong swimmer, I can reall only swim under the water, if I go where I will not be able to reach, I am afraid I will not get back to the top, My mother never really let us go swimming growing up cuz zhe did not want us to get wet. I am going on a cruise and my bf wants to scubs dive, out of the question, but I said i would consider snorkeling. Thanks for the help!
When you are snorkeling, you are usually in about 15 -20 feet of water and you are not supposed to be able to touch the bottom. (you'll break the coral and kill it).
It's mandatory to were a snorkeling vest to keep you afloat so that you stay on TOP of the water (as in snorkeling).
I don't advice scuba Diving for anyone who is not a strong swimmer.
Besides, you have to take Scuba Lessons to Dive.
