Bahamas Wedding Packages
Any feedback on Bahamas Wedding Packages?
My fiance and I are interested in getting married in the Bahamas. I did some research online and am not sure which island we should look into. I'm looking for some feedback from people who have booked wedding packages there (I am looking at packages under $2000).
You really need to provide a lot more information here to allow anyone to give a good answer.
specifically:
How many guests? ($2000 isn't going to provide much of a reception for more than 5-10)
What type of wedding? (Church/Beach/Resort)
Is photography important to you? (A decent photographer will be at *least* half of that budget)
Does this budget include travel/accommodation?
I've helped couples elope for less than this amount, but a wedding with a wedding party/guest list of 10+ people is going to cost a fair bot more than that.
Initially, I'd advise sticking with Nassau/New Providence as the island, avoiding the larger resorts such as Sandals/Atlantis (they'll start you at $5-10K), but mainly - provide more information!
Post an update to the question with more info, and we can help!

Few questions about all inclusive vacations?
My fiance and I want to go on an all inclusive honeymoon, but I was wondering what they pros and cons were. Also how much does a travel agent cost? Are travel agents really worth it? Most of the places I am looking at online have free wedding packages (we think we want a destination wedding) but our options are limited as we want our daugher there for it because alot of them are couples resorts. Do you know of any good family ones (I was looking at beaches)? What all would we have to get to go to Jamaica or the Bahamas? Do you know where I could find someone to contact with my question about the stay and accomodations?
Thanks!
Also I have never seen the ocean before so I dont know what location would be the best to look for, any suggestions for locations are welcome. We plan on doing this in Sepetember of 2009
We go all the time to Fiji...
The food is FANTASTIC! and STAFF is GREAT! The people in Fiji are the NICEST, FRIENDLIEST I have ever met traveling! YOU are safe walking down the streets in town, there are NO beggars, and it is GREAT!

FYI- I didn't like Jamaica, I didn't feel safe leaving the resort.
