Best calling option in Bahamas?



I'm headed to the Bahamas and want to be able to talk on the phone as cheaply as possible. Which option is the best?:

1) Buy a prepaid cell phone (and only pay for the phone and how many ever minutes I decide to buy)

2)Get a calling card (only charge is the phone card)

2 b) Is there a charge to call from a hotel room if you use a calling card?

3) Use my cell phone (which charges about $3-5 for the phone call and $1-2 per minute)

4) Text message--is there an additional charge for doing this?

I say buy a calling card, it cheaper.
I used calling cards when I went back to the islands and that ways cheaper. Just by the good 1's that has about 20-30 minutes and ur'e good.
