Hi, ok I maybe sound naive asking this question, but I have no clue what FUN PASS really is on a cruise. I'm going on a very FIRST short cruise next month, and I was just wondering what does this fun pass really do once I board on a ship? It says in my booked info I should either need to put my credit card or I"ll pay cash but it's like 100 USD deposit. I'm in a tight budget, and don't want to pay a lot while on a cruise. I'm not a big spender when it comes to food or drinks. I'm only going to pay the gratuity, but not sure if the Carnival Par will be charging my card. Please, If anyone here had done a cruise, I'd be happy to hear from you. Thanks in advance.
I'd strongly recommend you go for using your credit card.
The funpass is merely Carnival's online portal for where you can organise everything related to your cruise. You can provide your information for checkin purposes so you don't have to do all that when you get there (I recommend you complete your funpass asap). It also includes booking shore excursions, should you choose to do that.
