Celebrity Cruise Tips for the Flightseer: 3 Hours in Australia

New Zealand and Australia share a lot of cultural similarities because they are adjacent, but you will experience difference in both of them when you visit there. New Zealand offers unique experience, rich in cultural history, memorable landscape, adrenaline pumping adventure sport, and spectacular sightseeing. Whereas, Australia is a South Pacific getaway blessed with friendly people, beautiful beaches and a whole lot of nothing called the outback.

Flight seeing on Celebrity Cruises offers you a breathtaking perspective of the massive landscapes of Australia and New Zealand. If you have three hours or less to spare for an aerial trip, you can go for short flights on helicopters organized by Celebrity Cruise staff that will take you to the more famous parts of the region.

Celebrity Cruise will make the arrangements for you to book helicopter trips while you are on dock either in Australia or New Zealand. You can opt for private flights or go on group deals. A designated tour guide will accompany you on your flightseeing so you will be sure not to miss any significant spots while looking over from the helicopter.

While gliding over Australia, you will be able to view the spectacular colors of the Great Barrier Reef. There is no better way of appreciating the beauty of this region than to view it from above. You will be able to experience the totality of its splendor as you view it thousands of feet from the top.

The region of Queenstown in Australia is also a famous spot for flightseeing. You have to travel to the northwest airport of the town in order to board your helicopter. Queenstown offers a breathtaking landscape view from the air so the effort in going there will definitely be worth it.

Just like Australia, flightseeing has always been considered as one of the best ways to get a panoramic view of the scenic terrain of New Zealand. This country is blessed with a beautiful mix of mountains, rivers, lakes, glaciers and fiords. Thus, you can better appreciate the beauty of the country if you will be viewing it as a whole. Celebrity Cruise can arrange for an aerial flightseeing tour over New Zealand while your luxury vessel is docked on its port.

New Zealand's popular tourist resort towns each have helipads designed to take you on a flightseeing tour across the region. Even if your outing is unplanned, there is a good chance you will be able to book a flight at the last minute since there are a number of trips available at any given day.

Over the South Island of New Zealand, you can see Mt. Cook and the Westland National Parks which both offer a stunning view from the air. It will be best to travel around the region during winter so you can catch a glimpse of the snow-capped summits of Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman.

Flightseeing is a must for every traveler who wants to experience Australia and New Zealand from a unique perspective. Celebrity Cruise will make this possible for you and will take you from your ocean adventure into your flightseeing trip where you will enjoy the view and the blue skies.

Carnival Splendor vs Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Sea?

I am deciding between a cruise between Carnival Splendor and Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Sea. Both of them are going to the same places along the Mexican Riviera. Which one should I decide on?

My Criteria is:
1. Food is important to me, I get agitated if I don't get good food.
2. Activities, I am in my late 20's and enjoy a little fun. I don't want crazy kids running around though.

I cruise on Royal Caribbean a lot and find that they have excellent food. Never cruised on Carnival so I cannot give you a food for food or ship for ship comparison. However, I have cruised on the Mariner and can tell you that you will NOT find a better ship to cruise on. It is NOT one of Royal Caribbeans older ship, it was first launched in 2003 so its only 7 years old. Yes RC has 4 or 5 new ship just launched in the past few years but a 7 year ship is NOT old. It is one of 5 Voyager class ships and it is actually the newest of the class.

You will not find a ship that has more and better activities, especially for someone in your age group. It has the Rock climbing wall, mini-golf, roller skating, ice skating, basketball court, a great gym, and many more features that young cruiser love. RC is noted for having the most on-board activities on its cruise ships. You can take a virtual tour of the ship at this web link: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/class/ship/home.do;jsessionid=0000_BwEAqxvgVp-fySVSn9PGWw:12hbiocus?br=R&shipClassCode=VY&shipCode=MA Just click on the link on that page for the "virtual tour".

If you want you can then compare that with the Carnival Splendor: http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_splendor/default.aspx?shipCode=SL About all the Splendor has to compare is the mini-golf and a water slide.

You will not have to worry about kids on the ship. Both cruise lines have programs for kids ages 2 through 17 AND areas of the ship for kids to enjoy activities under professional staff supervision. The program have different names, like Club Carnival, and Circle C on Carnival ship, and Adventure Ocean on Royal Caribbean ships. Both have the free programs that keep the kids busy all day and into the evening. Take a look at the activities for kids on RC on this web link: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/experiencetypes/home.do;jsessionid=0000_BwEAqxvgVp-fySVSn9PGWw:12hbiocus?br=R&shipCode=MA#/?detail=549&wl=1 IN addition to areas for kids, the gym is off limits to kids under the age of 16 and the Mariner and Splendor have pool and spa areas on ship that are for adults only. I cruise a lot and kids have never been a problem.

Pick the Mariner, you will not be sorry but elated. The Mariner has some truly fantastic prices right now and you will not likely find a better deal; take a look: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cruiseDetails/itineraryAndPricing.do;jsessionid=0000_BwEAqxvgVp-fySVSn9PGWw:12hbiocus?packageCode=MA07X010&region=MEXCO&ship=MA&date=ANY&selectedCurrencyCode=&promoType=&hasSenior=&hasMilitary=&hasFireandPolice=&state=
