We'd like to visit Cat Island in the Bahamas, but we've heard that many travelers have experienced ridiculous (4 to 5 hour) delays with some of the airlines on the last leg of their flight. Is it better to fly to Cat from Fort Lauderdale or from Nassau? Any recommendations for a particular airline? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!
Regular scheduled charter flights are available to Cat Island from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. or Nassau, Bahamas. Flight schedules may fluctuate, so please contact the airlines to confirm their schedules. Round trip airfare is around $350 from Florida and $160 from Nassau. Flights usually sellout, a several week advance reservation is necessary. You must have either a passport, or a certified copy of your birth certificate along with a current drivers license to travel internationally.
