If Youre just looking for a simple trip...and you just need Flight/Hotel/Car rental package then I would just book it on my own on the internet.It usually saves you money to book it all together as a package.

If you have any special needs or have more complicated travel plans or are just not internet savey.Then Yes I would suggest you use a travel agent.Keeping in mind that most likely you will have to pay a fee to use them.I would shop around and try finding someone who is reputable and has experience with caribean travel

Another suggestion would be to check the airlines themselves they usually have vacation departments and could offer you some great deals

a Tip..when booking online play around a bit with dates as often leaving a day earlier or later could save you money.In some cases even hundreds of dollars.
since May is sorta of low season in the Bahamas you should be able to find some good deals
