Christmas Disney Cruise
Should I take my 15-month boy to Disneyworld this Christmas Holiday?
We are taking a Caribbean Cruise on Jan. 2 and have some spare days (Dec. 25 to Jan 1). Since we are flying all the way to Florida from Mexico, we thought spending 3 to 4 days in Disneyworld is a good option. My boy loves Disney characters (specially Mickey) and loves dancing with them.
I should be able to take him once per year if desirable. Its not that if I take him now, I won't be able to take him next year.
Do you think is worth and he will enjoy spending few hours in one park per day (3 to 4 days) from Dec. 28 to 31? I know it may be crowded but, otherwise, we will only stay in our city or just go shopping somewhere else (Houston, Miami, etc.).
Thank you
I think he will love it! Lucky kid. Children his age live more much more in the here and now than older kids or adults. He won't be thinking about the crowds or that a few hours isn't enough. He's going to enjoy the sights and sounds, his favorite characters, and being with his family having fun. He might not remember the trip years from now, but you'll never forget the joy on his face when you're all together there.
Can I come, too?!!!!

International phone call from Disney cruise ship?
I'm going on a cruise with the Disney ship next Christmas, but I have to make an extremely important international call (to South America) on Christmas day, and I don't know if that will be possible from the ship. I know the ships has phones, but I don't know if they're built to handle a call from the Caribbean all the way to South America.
The ship will be docking at the Disney island, Castaway Cay, on Christmas day, but I don't remember there being any phones on the island, either. Does anyone know if the call would be possible? I'm still trying to get a hold of the Disney people to ask them, but I'm wondering if any of you are familiar enough with the cruise line to answer.
My wife and I took an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity for our 25th wedding anniversary. I assume the Disney ships are set up in a similar manner.
There is cellular service on the ship. All calls will be considered "roaming" and the rates are kinda high (but not as bad as one would think). There is also shipboard phone service, but that was really expensive.
Check the web site for the ship you will be on and they should list the rates there.
