Comfort Suites In Bahamas

How much would it cost to go to Comfort Suites Bahamas from the airport by taxi (for 4 persons)?

I was booking a vacation package and saw an "offer" of shuttle round trip from airport to hotel, which cost $40 per person! Does that mean that taking taxi would cost even much more (at least $40 x 4 = $160)?? The four of us would be carrying two large suitcases **in total**, so I assume we can all fit into one taxi?

The easiest and Cheapest transportation is by cab. They are queued up outside the arrivals building.

Cost should be $33 for the first 2 ppl plus $3 for each add'l person.
excess baggage, golf clubs and oversize bags cost $1 ea.

You will be asked to pay the $1 toll (per car) going over the bridge as well.

For 4 ppl, the taxi would cost 1/2 the price of the shuttle - round trip.

well my family really wants to go to paradise island (atlantis)
and i'm excited but i'm worried about the cost
and also i'm thinking we could stay at atlantis maybe in the comfort suites for 4 days
(how far is the comfort suites from atlantis exactly not just from the gate but from all of the action within)
and then stay in one of the out islands for 4 days
the best vaction i ever took was a very relaxing vacation on the florida keys
but my mom really wants the excitement is it worth the hassle of moving? i have tons of questions
what are activities that in your opinion i HAVE to do at atlantis(but not included) or at one of the out islands
which out island should we stay at?
and what are some hotels to stay at?
my mom would want somthing kind of luxourios (she likes to be pampered) but any inexpensive ideas to?

me (14) my sister (17) my parents and my moms 2 sisters ....

Unless you are staying in the Reef or Cove.. the Atlantis is not luxurious. Most rooms are like the Holiday Inn.

Comfort suites is ok.. but it's not that much cheaper than the cheap rooms at Atlantis. you might look into the Harborside condos. They also have access to the Atlantis grounds.

Both the Comfort Suites and Harbourside are just minutes away from Atlantis. The FAR walking is once you're on the property.. it's a long walk to get anywhere.

Atlantis is not a relaxing vacation .. so don't expect it. They bus all the cruise ship people in each day.. so there are several thousand extra people around the pool, beaches and slides each day.
They also sell day passes ..

If mom insists.. then do 3-4 days and Atlantis and move to Harbour Island. either Pink Sands, Romora bay or any of the other quiet relaxing resorts on the island.

Do a little homework.. you'll find wonderful properties in a relaxing atmosphere. A great way to do some family bonding.

Other places to look are the Abacos - Marsh Harbour., Exumas or Long Island.
