What are the alcoholic drink prices on Royal Caribbean?
I'm looking to cruise with Royal Caribbean this summer. Has anyone been on a cruise with them lately and recall what the drink prices were (beer, mixed drinks, shots)? Have any tips to score some deals (packages etc...)? I couldn't seem to find a bar menu online.
I'm going to be sailing on either the Majesty or Enchantment out of Florida. Any other cruising tips you may have are appreciated. We're looking to have a great time without breaking the bank.

I have been on many RC ships and here what I remember from them.
Coffee, tea, milk, juice, and lemonade and punch will be provided FREE but you must pay for soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and they will add a 15 percent gratuity to each alcoholic drink and soft drink order. Drinks of Royal Caribbean cruise ships are generally in the range of $7 to $9 including the 15 percent gratuity that is included in each tab. Beer and wine are slightly less, maybe $6 to $7. Unlike some other cruise lines Royal Caribbean does not sell drink cards or alcohol packages. Some cruise lines you can order a small bottle of liquor for your cabin and it comes with a few soft drinks.
Royal Caribbean does sell a soft drink card that allow you unlimited soft drinks for the duration of your cruise. These you must buy the first day of the cruise and they generally cost about $6.00 a day for adults; $4.00 a day for kids.
Other cruising tips:
- Its best to pack using soft-sided luggage because with space limited in your cabin it fits under the beds better if its not hard sided luggage.
- Pack using the vacuum clothing bags (about $20 for 3 at Target) so that you can get more in your bag AND so that if the TSA at the airport opens your bag they can see what's inside without rummaging through your things.
-Take a small carry-on bag for the last night of the cruise. On the last evening you will be required to put your luggage outside your cabin by about 2:00 AM so that they can start taking it down to the lower deck for offloading the next morning. So you will need a small bag for your toiletries and your clothes that you sleep in.
- If you can take a six-pack of bottled water and soft drinks in your carry-on for your cabin. You will have to pay for both on the ship and its nice to have those handy in the cabin.
- If you are taking your cell phone, MP3 player or other item that needs to be plugged in take an extension cord as the plugs in the cabin are generally not in the best places and there are usually only one or two.
- Take a small bottle of hand sanitizer and/or hand-wipes. There are generally sanitizer dispensers at the entrances of restaurants, the buffets and dining room, but some times the are not there or not working. The sanitizer helps prevent the spread of the Norwalk Virus that sometimes occur on cruise ships.
-If you plan to get into the pools or hot tub as soon as you get on ship (they will be open), bring those clothes in your carry on bag; you other luggage may not get to your cabin until much later in the afternoon.
- Take a can of air freshener for your cabin bathroom. The bathrooms do not have exhaust fans.
- Take a few zip lock bags of various sizes; they always come in handy.
- Take some one dollar bills (also maybe a few $5's) for tipping the porters in the airport, at the pier (they do not work for the ship), and they will come in handy in port stops for buying small items in the markets and at vendor stands; especially bartering places.

Deals for Royal Caribbean Cruises??
I Need some help finding a deal on a cruise for this summer.. a friend told me that his parents knew a travel agent that scheduled group cruises to save money for them..so if anyone has heard of that and could let me know anything thats be great.. or maybe somewhere to get great deals or how to find a travel agent
A little info for what we were looking for
we're both 21 and we are trying to find a cruise.. we live in cincinnati and will depart from anywhere on the east coast.. we are looking for a 5 or 6 night cruise with 3 stops
any info on would be greatly appreciated....
Royal Caribbean maybe too layed back for 21, I've cruised them always, they are the best , but I've always rolled with an older crowd. All cruise lines run group specials. With Royal Carribean for every 6 cabins that are booked and paid 1 person, person not cabin, cruises for the port fees and taxes. I you can call the company directly and get a quote make sure to right down any and all questions you or your group may have because, they slick, if you don't ask they don't tell you and then you'll be stuck with paying for things you were never informed of like, may sure the price includes their so called fuel surcharge they'll try to hit you with, if two people that are rooming together live at seperate address make certain they are give both address because they'll send the cruise ticket information to one address and won't issue another one for the other person. DO NOT EVER book flights through the cruise line they'll charge you almost triple fare, if you can book your flight to arrive one day ahead of your departure date and stay over night as close to the port as possible, preferrably a hotel that offers a shuttle to the port and don't book your return flight before 12noon if you use the ship shuttle and if you don't use a travel agent don't forget to schedule for the shuttle so that you get to the airport in time for your return flight. Be prepared to have at least an addition $150-200 for tips for porters and especially on the ship docks they'll be extremely helpful. I have a travel agent out of Jersey she's wonderfull, terrible of me but my minde went blank on her name but her e-mail is soulmates4294@aol.com,
