Cruises To Bahamas From Miami

how are 3 day Bahamas Cruises for singles?

Looking to go as i have opportunity next month. Going solo, but hope to meet some ladies on board, and friends to hang with when ashore.

What kind of people do the 3 day cruises from miami...families and seniors or the demographic i am looking for

It really depends on the time you go...with it being next month I think you would have a good party crowd. My girlfriend and I went to Nassau on the Fascination (out of Miami) in December of 06'. Since the boat docked overnight we just knew it would be all the rave!!...WRONG! We found it quite boring as far as fellow sailors. Even our table mates (6 other girls, all pairs) didn't even want to leave the ship for some partying. One pair was in bed by 11pm. My friend and I still went out & about..didn't return to the ship till 4am'ish..but it was nothing to brag about. Once Senior Frogs closed the party was pretty much over for tourist. Being two women tourist hitting the local spots..didn't seem to go over to well either. If it hadn't been for a worker at Senior Frogs recognizing us and taking us under his wing..who knows what would have happened! I'll cross my fingers that you will have a better crowd than we did!

do i have to have a visa if i'm going on a cruise from bahamas to miami

how much would it cost for all this ?

All of the major cruise lines that serve US ports and cruise between Miami and the Bahamas begin AND end their cruises in Miami, or Fort Lauderdale, Florida. So you would have to fly from Jamaica to the US to board the cruise. If you are interested in visiting the Bahamas you could just as well just fly to Nassau or Freeport for your visit and stay and not bother with coming to the US.

If you do decide to fly to the US (Miami) for a cruise the prices for such cruises generally start at about $250 to $300 per person based on two people traveling (so @ $500 for both people plus taxes and fees). Here's a couple examples:
Carnival Cruise Line:

You for sure will need a passport to enter the US: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

You will also need a Visa.
" All Jamaicans who are not U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents need a visa to enter the U.S. Nonimmigrant visas (NIVs) are intended for those who plan to visit the U.S. for business or pleasure; students or exchange visitors embarking on study or cultural work programs in the U.S.; people who are transiting through the U.S. to other onward destinations; seasonal temporary workers or workers who have been hired by U.S. companies for longer periods of time; visitors on diplomatic, official or U.N. business; journalists who are providing media coverage of time-specific events; and others who are traveling to the U.S. for limited time periods.
