Disney Cruise Cheap
What's the cheapest way to book a cruise on Disney Dream?
Hi, my husband and I would like to surprise the kids with a cruise on the Disney Dream. The kids have never been on a cruise. They are 10, 7, and 1 year old. We would like to book something that's all inclusive ie. that includes gratuities. We also want a cabin with a Veranda, which would you guys recommend for a family our size. would our 1 year old enjoy the cruise? The descriptions talk about pull down beds but I didn't see one on the pics shown. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, disney cruises are not cheap, not even last minute ones. The most you can hope to get is onboard credit from travel agent. The best one I've dealt with is Small world vacations. They are disney specialized agents. I learned about them through the mousesavers.com newsletter. They will give you any price quote you would like on different categories. The pull down bed is on the ceiling of the cabin, which is hidden during the day. When they turn down your room for the night, the sofa couch becomes atwin bed and the pull down is right above it. Looks like bunk beds. For your 1 yr old, you can ask for portable crib(play pen) to sleep in and a diaper genie. They have an amazing nursery staff on board for the baby as well. Book this times as ASAP since they fill up quickly. They have times as late as midnight on certain cruises. When I went, sept 2010, it was till 11pm. They will give you a pager to contact you if they need you & you keep it the entire cruise. The cabins are pretty roomy, compared to others. The 10 & 7 year old will love the kids club & they can stay together while there. They have tons of activities for the whole family & adults only. I was surprised as to how many adult only activities they had, from lounges, wine tastings, their adults only pool, etc... My only recommendation, since you have a 1 yr old, choose a short 3 or 4 night bahamian cruise. There's really no baby food on board & you need to bring baby supplies for each day. Go and have a ball. I'm going on the dream this Sept also.

should I take a Disney or Royal Carribean cruise?
I have a large family for this trip. For Disney, we would take the July 2nd trip and for RC, we would take the July 3rd trip (3-night Bahamas). In one room, we will have 1 adult, 1 sixteen yo, and 1 ten yo. In the other room, we will have 1 adult and 1 sixteen yo. We will use the cheapest room there is (inside rooms) I was wondering if I should take a Disney Cruise or a Royal Carribean cruise. We were already planning to take a Disney Cruise, but I've heard things about RC, so I was curious. If you have any questions, e-mail me or add it in the question and I will answer the next day. Thank you.
don't forget the sixteen y.o.'s and the adults
Disney is a cruise line for young children like 10 year olds and younger. I recommend Royal Caribbean. it's a relaxing environment.
