First Time Carnival Cruise (Teenager)?
I'm 15, gonna be 16 on the day of the cruise, my family and I are leaving in about 2 weeks on the Carnival Conquest so I have a whole bunch of questions to ask: 1. Whats the Sail & Sign card for, what would I use it for, and where do I get one if I need one? 2. I'm a very shy person lol and I was wondering if its easy to meet people in the Club O2 and around the ship and how would I do that? 3. Is the Club O2 really fun as I hear from other people?, what activities or things do they do? 4. Is room service free and is it 24/7?
. I think that's about it sorry for all the questions I just wanna have a great time

If you're going on this cruise email me and hope to see you there
Carnival cruises are basically cashless - you pay for extra services using your Sail & Sign card. It's also used for identification and looks like a credit card. You will need it to get off the ship or back on. They give you one when you first board the ship. You HAVE to get one, otherwise you won't be able to get off the ship!
You'll need it to pay for spa services, drinks, etc. Only some drinks are free, but if you plan on drinking a lot of soft drinks, be prepared - they are very expensive when they all add up! Oh, and the ones they leave in your room aren't free! If you do want to drink a lot of fountain drinks, Carnival has this card called the Fountain Fun card. For a few dollars a day, you will get unlimited fountain drinks. I don't think that included smoothies, and definitely not alcohol. It's a great deal if you want to drink a lot of soda. You also need your Sail & Sign card if you buy anything on board, like in the shops.
How does the card work? Well, it's like a credit card. You can also treat it like debit and put money on the card, and then whatever money you don't spend will be given back to you at the end of the cruise. Otherwise, you can link it to a credit card, so any purchases you make will be charged to your credit card.
Club 02 is amazing. It's a really casual club / hangout for teenagers and it sometimes hosts teen dances. Most of the time it's just a place for teenagers to meet up and make friends. All you need to do is show up whenever they're open and show them your card (just to prove you're 15-17) and they let you join for free. It's very easy to make friends - that's usually why people join.
I would recommend joining on the first night, because that's when nobody knows each other yet. The later you join, the more everyone else has bonded, thus, you feel like the new kid left out.
All you need to do is show up and start talking to people. Don't sit there by yourself because you'll look boring and unfriendly! Just strike up a conversation. Normally asking questions helps start up conversations. For example, "Where are you from?" works very well!
Club 02 also has video games, board games, contests, karaoke, movies, etc. They can't force you to do anything, and if you're uninterested, you can leave and come back whenever you want. You're old enough to not need a baby-sitter. I thought it was pretty sweet. One of my favourite activities was a big water balloon fight we had -- the pool deck on our ship had a gigantic water balloon launcher! Another fun thing was the Battle of the Sexes. It's a whole bunch of contests, boys vs girls.
You can also meet people around the ship. I was too scared to do this, because it was harder to find teens around the ship. It's easier to have the majority of them all in one place. If you meet someone at the pool, you need to work up the courage to talk to them, and then they might not even want to make friends or they already have their own friends with them. That's why I loved Club 02 - it was much more convenient. You'd probably find people your own age in the buffets, pools, shops, etc.
Room service is free. They have a room service menu available for you, and you can even pre-order breakfast to be delivered to your cabin! They will do anything to make you happy. My brother asked for like 3 boxes of cereal and they gave it to him. Make sure you order something that is free and on the menu... I'm pretty sure they still charge you for sodas if you use room service.
Anyways, I hope you have a great time on your cruise! Don't be afraid to try anything new =)
