Georgetown Bahamas

Which cruise would you choose?

of the options--->

a 8 night carnival cruise for $1279pp, on the carnival freedom: going to:
san juan, puerto rico
st thomas, us virgin islands
antigua
tortola, british virgin islands
nassau bahamas

OR a royal carribbean cruise, 7 nights, $1349pp, on the liberty of the seas, going to:
hispaniola haiti
ocho rios jamaica
georgetown grand cayman
cozumel mexico
ps-its just me and my boyfriend going and we dont want a crazy time just some relaxing with a bit of fun on shore excursions, and a nice ship.
We were hoping to leave in May and we were also hoping for a balcony room.

I have been on many cruises and my first advice to you is the prices you have quoted are a little high. It seems that you have picked the Liberty's sailing for February 14th which is the highest priced sailing for that ship next spring. Apparently the Valentine's day sailing is much higher than other sailings next spring. SO you can save $300 or more per person by just picking a different date. The RC web site shows balcony cabins on the Liberty for $899 on different dates.

My advice is go on the Royal Caribbean Western Caribbean cruise. I have been to all of the ports that you listed for both cruises and it is in my opinion much easier to enjoy beach and water sports in the western Caribbean. Cruises that go to San Juan and St Thomas dock a considerable distance from the beaches and its expensive to get there. A taxi to the 7-Mile Beach in Grand Cayman is $4. per person and a short taxi ride. It will cost about twice that per person in San Juan and St Thomas. RC also uses Labadee, Haite as its private island and that is THE best private island of all and its totally free.

In sum, a western Caribbean cruise will be more relaxed and in my opinion more enjoyable. I have not yet been on the Liberty but have been on one of its twin sister ships, yhe Freedom, and you will enjoy all of the activities on that ship.

airport name in the bahamas?

I need the name of the airport, I'm going to georgetown in the bahamas

The person above me is right.

Nice choice of going to Exuma. Personally I think it has the most beautiful beaches. If you know the right people they can take you to beaches that no on has been on for years. The coral reefs down there are amazing. Just find someone who can take you on an adventure like Power Boat Adventures or something like that.

If you go make sure to stop at Peace n' Plenty for a drink. :)

Allen's Cay has the endangered species of Iguana on it and wild boar run wild on Ship Channel Cay which is a few islands North of Allen's Cay.

Anywho, I gave you way more information than you asked for. :)
