Is Freeport Bahamas a good place to go for vacation?

I heard Nassau was the best island in the bahamas but the problem is the only place my timeshare is available for my vacation time is in freeport. I want to go to a place with beautiful beaches and gorgous hotels with pools and spas, very tropical.

I cannot compare the two Islands, but I very much like the Grand Bahamas. Freeport has nice beaches and the facilities will depend on the time share. Not all of them are nice.

how much will it cost to go island hopping in the Bahamas by boat?

A few of us are heading to the Bahamas and we wanted to go island hopping while we are there.. Anyone know which is the best way to do this, i hear taking a boat would probably be the cheapest. Anyone know how much it would cost to go from island to island??

Find someone with a FAST POWER BOAT because those islands are not next to each other like the TV commercials would have you believe. You can charter a nice powerboat for $250 to $500 per day depending on the number in your party and how much you want to see.
