Paradise Island The Bahamas

what website can i go to for gay hookups in paradise island bahamas?

im looking to see if anyone knows of any websites that i can go to for gay hookups while vacationing in the bahamas (paradise island)

stella is right.. although there is an underground gay community, it's not an acceptable lifestyle.. and trouble is close by in the club scene.

The gay club at Cable Beach has recently closed down, don't see any sign of life anywhere else.

You might try Bahamas Traveler People Finder, I see some desperate searches there..

Please be aware, that AIDS is a big problem in the bahamas (most all of the caribbean).

are there any Public beaches on paradise island bahamas?

Im staying at the paradise island habour side resort and i want to stay at atlantis...... i want to go to their beach is this possible and will i be able to go to a public beach.... not man made pls help

yes, there is a public beach on the Northern side of the island.. about a 10 minute walk. There will be signs pointing the way. The entrance is on the East (right) side of the RIU hotel (which you can see from the roadway.

Up over the dune and down the other side.
You can rent chaise loungers and umbrellas or bring a towel.
There's locals selling rum drinks and coconuts on the beach.. but no other amenities. no food, no bathrooms, showers etc.

This location can get rough in the winter months and sometimes closes. (even Atlantis beach closes).

Then you'll have to go to the public beach at the western Esplanade (downtown nassau) or one of the hotel beaches at Cable Beach. ($15pp fee).
You can take a cab or use the $1 jitney from downtown (#10).
Of course, you'll need to get downtown to hop the jitney. Cab or ferryboat will get you there.

Although ALL Beaches In The Bahamas are considered public domain to the high tide mark, they are not all accessible. If you walk along the Beach at the waterline, you can walk along Atlantis beach, but you can't sit in the sand, use a chair or even get a drink at the bar.
