Resorts In Bahamas All Inclusive
What are the best all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean?
My fiance and I are getting married in August of 2009 in WV. We have been looking at the Sandals resorts, just because those are what we have heard the most about. I really like the idea of having everything at our fingertips. We are budgeting about $3,000-$5,000 for the trip (including airfare). We are interested in places such as St. Lucia, the Bahamas, etc. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!
We would like it to be mostly adults/couples... kids would be fine, as long as the resort is not over-loaded with them. I will be 23 and he will be 26. It will be our first time going out of the country.
We REALLY loved Couples in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It is married adults only, so everyone is there to spend time with their significant other. The facilities are beautiful--and they are undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation right now. They have every activity you can imagine, including a trip to Dunne's River Falls, which is really cool, and even horseback riding in the mountains. We enjoyed the staff and the other people we met there, including many couples from Europe, especially the UK. The food was delicious, and the drinks were very fun--especially rum cream after dinner.
I celebrated my birthday there, and received a beautiful floral arrangement in our room that day along with a bottle of champagne. We took a sunset catamaran cruise and snorkeled all day one day--even spotted a sea turtle!
What I liked best was that everyone there was married, so I did not feel self-conscious in a bathing suit. And there were no kids, which made it even more comfortable. I think it would be a fabulous place for a honeymoon.
They also own a property in Negril, so you have other options, too. Their website is www.couples.com. Have fun planning a dream honeymoon!

Does anyone know of all inclusive Resorts In The Bahamas, caribbean, or south pacific that include alcohol?
and motorized water sports? (besides sandals)
Besides Sandals, I don't know of any resorts that include motorized water sports (major liability on the resorts part). But I stayed at Breezes, Bahamas and it included unlimited drinks of all varieties and all food at both restaurants, the midnight snack bar, and the buffet. The hotel room wasn't as wonderful as I had been hoping for, but you have to consider the fact that it's an all-inclusive resort and it's not like you're going there to spend all your time in the room. The entertainment was pretty good and the drinks were excellent. The pools were very nice and they even had a swim-up bar with a full drink menu.
If you're looking for a stay somewhere other than the Bahamas, Breezes has a few different locations that you can locate on their website. Otherwise, just check Expedia for the dates you want to travel, set the destination, and at the top you can "narrow your search" and check the box for "All-Inclusive Options" (if there are any available) to find the perfect resort for you. Good luck and have fun traveling!
