It depends on your package. Is it all inclusive, It depends on where you are staying. Some things are very expensive and some not so much. A 3 hr.(round trip) boat ride to snorkel at Rose Island is offered by Sky Cloud tours for $70.00. That's not too bad. A nice resturaunt can cost two people $135.00. You need to add more details about what and where your package deal is.

Is new orleans a good shopping community?

My parents really want to go to new orleans after going to the bahamas but i need to know if i can get good shopping for school there.
What i mean in shopping wise is stores that are amazing like buckle.

New Orleans has good little local boutiquey stores like Hemline, Feet First, Trashy Diva, etc., etc., etc.

The main districts for those are the French Quarter and Magazine Street.

If you are looking for mainstream outlets (Buckle, Banana Republic, Forever XXI), yes, we do have them here in Lakeside Mall (in Metairie) or Canal Place (on the edge of the French Quarter).

However, honestly, I would go to Atlanta or Houston for upscale chain stores (Kate Spade, Cole Haan) or realistically even if you want mainstream outlets. For every 1 of those chains here, there are 4 in those places.
